About Us

Sugar Land's Older Slabs Are Hitting Leak Age

Sugar Creek was the area’s first master-planned community. It started in 1968, and homes along Sugar Creek Blvd date to the late 1970s. Copper water lines laid under slabs in that era are now close to 50 years old. Add the clay soil around Sugar Land, which swells when it’s wet and shrinks in a drought, and those buried lines get stressed year after year until one of them gives.

Repipe Solutions Inc is a licensed, insured plumbing company that finds and fixes slab leaks in Sugar Land. We locate the leak precisely, then show you every way to fix it, with real prices, before any concrete gets cut.

Water Coming Up Through the Floor?

Turn off the main water valve and call (832) 662-4288, day or night. A slab leak under pressure keeps pushing water into your foundation and flooring every minute it runs. Same-day service is often available, and you’ll get a firm price before work starts. See our 24/7 emergency plumbing service.

Eight Ways We Handle Sugar Land Slab Leaks

Every slab leak is different. Here’s the full toolkit, from finding it to fixing it for good.

Electronic Leak Detection

Acoustic and electronic tools let us pinpoint a leak under the slab without guessing. We find it first, then cut only where the repair needs. Learn more about our leak detection.

Pressure Testing

A hydrostatic test tells us whether the leak is on the water side or the drain side, so the repair targets the right pipe.

Spot Repair Through the Slab

When the leak is in one place and the rest of the line is sound, we open the slab at that spot, fix the pipe, and close it back up.

Reroute Around the Slab

Sometimes it's smarter to abandon the line under the slab and run a new one through the walls or attic. No jackhammer, and that line can't leak under your floor again.

Whole House Repipe

If you've had more than one slab leak, the rest of the copper is the same age. A whole house repipe with Uponor PEX-A carries a lifetime parts and labor warranty.

Drain Line Leaks Under the Slab

Not every slab leak is a water line. Broken drain pipes under the slab cause odors and soft spots, and we excavate and repair them too. Compare options in repipe vs spot repair.

Honest Options, Real Prices

Spot repair, reroute or repipe, each with its own written price. You pick the one that fits your house and budget. Nothing starts until you approve it.

Paperwork for Your Insurance

Where the leak was, what we found and what we fixed, in writing. That's the paperwork your insurance adjuster will ask for.

Why Sugar Land Slabs Leak

Two things work against pipes under a Sugar Land slab: age and soil. The clay under much of Fort Bend County swells when it’s soaked and shrinks during a drought. That movement shifts the slab a little every year, and the pipes running through it flex with it. Copper that’s been in the ground since the late 1970s, like in the older sections of Sugar Creek, doesn’t flex forever.

Water chemistry plays a part too. The City of Sugar Land draws most of its water from twelve groundwater plants on the Gulf Coast Aquifer, plus a surface water plant that opened in 2013. Years of minerals and pressure on old copper lead to the pinhole leaks you see in the photos on this page.

Second Slab Leak? Read This First

One slab leak is bad luck. A second one usually means the whole system is wearing out at the same rate. Rerouting or repiping costs more today, but it stops you paying for the same problem under the same floor. Our Sugar Land repiping team replaces it all with Uponor PEX-A, drywall and paint included.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the signs of a slab leak?

Warm spots on the floor, the sound of running water when every tap is off, a water bill that jumps for no reason, damp carpet or warped flooring, and a water meter that keeps moving with everything shut off. Any one of these is worth a check.

It depends on where the leak is and which fix makes sense: a spot repair, a reroute or a repipe. We find the leak first, then give you a written price for each option before any concrete is cut. Estimates are free with no trip charge.

We use electronic and acoustic leak detection to pinpoint the spot from above the slab, and pressure testing to confirm which line is leaking. Then we only open the floor where the repair needs it.

A spot repair is fine when the rest of the line is healthy. If the pipe is old or this isn’t the first leak, rerouting through the walls or attic is often smarter, because the new line can’t leak under your floor again.

Older homes have copper under the slab that’s decades old, and the area’s clay soil swells and shrinks with the weather. That movement stresses buried pipes every year until a weak spot finally gives.

Many policies help with the cost of reaching the leak and fixing the damage, but not always the pipe itself. Every policy is different, so call your insurer. We give you the written findings they’ll ask for.

Many spot repairs are finished in a day. Clay Hestilow’s under-slab drain repair was dug out, fixed and backfilled in a single day. Reroutes and repipes take longer, and we’ll tell you the timeline before we start.

If the leak is on the water supply line, it runs whenever the main is on, so shut the main off between uses until it’s fixed. If it’s a drain line leak, limit water use in that part of the house. Either way, call us so it doesn’t spread.
